Alysson Muotri presents at PopTech! conference
CEN PI Alysson Muotri, a 2011 PopTech Science Fellow, presented at their annual conference in Camden, Maine, in October. His talk covered recent breakthroughs in his lab and how he envisions induced pluripotent stem cell research changing our understanding of autism spectrum disorders in the near future. The PopTech conferences bring together eminent and emerging leaders in everything from business and entertainment to design and education, and the PopTech Science Fellows program is intended to develop a corps of highly visible and socially engaged scientific leaders by helping those doing cutting-edge work become more effective communicators and collaborators with those outside science.
